Get to know the proposed 2027 budget and 10-year financial plan.

Each year, the District develops a 10-year Financial Plan to balance today's needs and tomorrow's priorities. As Squamish continues to grow, we face important choices about infrastructure, community amenities, service levels, public safety, climate resilience, transportation, and housing delivery at every step along the housing continuum.

We invite you to learn how the 10-year Financial Plan (2027-2036) prioritizes the projects and services important to you. Please join us and follow along over the next four months as the proposed budget is discussed.

Stay tuned to this page for information, budget links and opportunities to provide your feedback.

Principles of the Financial Plan

  • Stable and Sufficient

  • Sustainable and Equitable

Ways to Engage

We invite you to learn how the budget is proposed to be allocated and how we are working to create a healthy, vibrant, livable and accessible community for all. There are various ways to participate:

Coming soon! Our public friendly digital version of the 2027-2036 Financial Plan will be available for review shortly, with new sections launching in conjunction with the Council workshops on that section.

Watch Council budget deliberations (live or recordings) and explore the financial documents that Council is reviewing. These meetings are all available on CivicWeb and provide an opportunity to learn about key budget considerations before decisions are made.

Stay tuned to this year's budget process by clicking '+ Follow' (top left of the page). We also recommend that you join our general Let's Talk Squamish newsletter for updates on many of our campaigns year-round.
