The District of Squamish has begun efforts to support the business community with a focus on education and waste diversion from institutions, commercial, and industrial (ICI) businesses. Waste audits have highlighted that Squamish businesses do not optimize diversion opportunities, which results in lots of avoidable waste, like organics and recyclable materials ending up in the Squamish Landfill.

We are looking for feedback from businesses around Squamish to understand the challenges and needs around waste diversion.
