At the December 13, 2022 Special Business Meeting, District of Squamish Chief Financial Officer, Heather Boxrud, and Senior Financial Analyst, Rolland Russell, presented the first three readings of the 2023-2027 Five Year Financial Plan to Council.

The Financial Plan process started in June 2022 and was first presented to Council in July 2022. Staff provided a recommended plan based on Council’s strategic plan, various master plans and operational requirements. Several financial plan workshops took place in the months following to discuss various elements of the plan. All meetings were open to the public and various forms of public feedback were sought throughout the process. An in-person town hall meeting was held November 29, 2022 to provide a budget overview and an opportunity for community members to speak to staff and Council about the budget.
